We’ve been working with buyers who are coming from ALL over the bay area…many of them are making a move for similar reasons. Here are 4 common threads we are hearing from our clients.

(1) Buyers are loving the low interest rates. Rates remain low, so many buyers who were previously on the fence are now jumping into the market. Some qualified buyers are scoring rates under 3%.

(2) Buyers are working from home. Buyers are adapting to their new normal, which in many cases means working from home. So buyers who otherwise were concerned about long commutes are now looking to purchase homes in the suburbs…as they are worried less about commuting and more about their quality of life.

(3) Buyers are NOT waiting to move-up. Homeowners who now have equity in their starter homes are excited to take advantage of the low rates and move up to their forever home. Many do not want to face consistent shelter in place measures in a home they don’t truly enjoy.

(4) Buyers are looking for more guidance. Low inventory and high demand…means buyers should be prepared to make their strongest offer. But a strong offer can mean many things. Tune in next week to see how we can help you can stand out and have more confidence in your home-buying experience.
