31 Days of Livermore Activities
January is here so let’s kick off the New Year with momentum…and get moving! That’s right, join us for 31 Days of Livermore Activities. Walk, run, ride, hike, dance, skip, swim…you get the picture! It doesn’t matter what daily activity you choose….just choose it and do it!

- Take a walk…by yourself, with the kids, the grandkids, or your dog. Check out the Arroyo Mocho Trail, Holdener Park, Sycamore Grove, Cayetano Park, or Marlin Pound Park.
- Run any time, anywhere…but for extra motivation begin training for the Livermore Valley Half Marathon on March 5. Check out our 5 Week Express Run Plan.
- Jump rope for a workout or with your child.
- Get busy in your winter garden with help from Alden Lane.
- Pick a DIY project and…paint!
- Lean in to winter activities like ice skating & hockey at Tri Valley Ice.
- Take horse riding lessons at Horizons East, Billings Equestrian, or find a stable that works for you.
- Time your mile- head to LHS or GHS track or your favorite running spot and time your mile each week to see how you improve!
- Join the kids on the trampoline or see how long you can hula hoop for!
- Wash your car! Did you know you can burn between 125-200 calories in a half hour?!
- Take a joy ride…on your bike (or Peloton). We have some of the best backroads and trails found anywhere! If your bike needs a tune up, call AJ’s Bike Service or visit My Buddy’s Bike Shop.
- Try a new yoga class online or at Dragonfly Yoga.
- Mow your lawn and your neighbors..they will thank you!
- Clean your local park. Spend an hour picking up trash to help keep Livermore beautiful.
- Lap swim or take a water aerobics class at LARPD. The pools are heated. But if you want a polar plunge, slide down and splash into the unheated play pool on January 7th.
- Roller skate…this blading/skating trend is back and so much fun.
- Rent a Pedego E Bike with someone new to the area and show them our beautiful community.
- Try a FREE dance class at Arthur Murray Dance Studio.
- Take a hike…and explore Del Valle or Brushy Peak.
- Score some endorphins and get extreme skateboarding at Sunken Gardens Skate Park.
- Try a high intensity interval workout at Orange Theory Fitness.
- Develop strength, endurance, flexibility and coordination with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at JG Academy. The first class is free.
- Spend a day golfing at Wente, Poppy Ridge, Las Positas Golf Course, or Ruby Hill.
- Ultimate Frisbee is a fun alternative and we have a course right by Robertson Park.
- Reserve a lane at Granada Bowl and bowl with friends!
- Get your zen on at Joya Yoga with pilates, spin, barre and other options.
- Drop a line at Lake Del Valle and see what you can catch….or take a boat or paddle board out.
- Be a kid. Pick a park. Swing, slide and monkey bar your way into 2023.
- Dance like nobody’s watching! Put on your favorite music and cut a rug.
- Art walk…take a walk downtown visiting all the local murals and stop at your favorite local shops along the way.
- Start the New Year…so fresh and so clean. Clean out your closet, your kitchen and/or your garage. Take your donations to our local drop off centers.
